About Us

There's a reason we're called "WILD ONES" Art Club! We are so much more than just an Art Club. We thrive on nature, free play, and forest exploration. Children's brains are developing at an incredible pace, and as early childhood educators, our mission is to nurture this growth. At Wild Ones, we focus on cultivating social, emotional, linguistic, cognitive, and physical skills, while sparking creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Above all, we aim to instill a life long love for learning.

We acknowledge that our work and gatherings take place on the unceded traditional territories of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, and Tsawwassen First Nations. We honor their deep connections to this land and commit to learning from and respecting their ongoing stewardship of these lands and waters.

Holly Bromely Journey Sticks

Meet Ms. Holly!
Founder - Creative Director

We are excited to introduce you to the founder of the club, Holly Bromley. Her three main passions in life are nature, art, and teaching children.

Holly is a dedicated homeschool mom, an early childhood educator, and a nature-inspired professional artist. Her artwork has been exhibiting at Fine Art Galleries in Vancouver since 2018.  (view here)

Holly has been teaching arts and crafts to children of all ages since 2017, including three years working at a beautiful outdoor forest school which deepened her love for outdoor education.

When creating, she loves incorporating earths natural resources and repurposing recycled materials as often as possible. She often makes her own paints by using plants, clay, minerals, roots, flowers, berries, and vegetables.

Holly founded Wild Ones Art Club from her desire to create a space where children could explore their creativity, enjoy play-based learning, and form a deeper connection with nature. To bring this vision to life, she collaborated with a team of experts—including an architect, engineer, occupational therapist, and play therapist—to design the club’s creative curriculum.

Join us as we explore this colourful and wild world, where children, art, and nature come together!

What is S.T.E.A.M?

S.T.E.A.M is an educational approach that aims to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and innovation by combining five different subject areas:

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics

S.T.E.A.M based craft classes provide a fun and playful way for children to explore their creativity and let their imagination run wild. With experiential learning, children can develop new skills and knowledge through trial and error, while also enhancing important problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This is a highly effective way to develop new skills and knowledge while having a blast by making things with their own two hands.

Crafting with Nature and Recycled Items

Why is "UPCYCLING" important for crafting?

  • It's good for the planet to repurpose/upcycle recycled items.

  • It teaches kids valuable life lessons: You don't need fancy supplies to be creative, and you can create something beautiful out of anything!

  • It introduces them to the mindset and skills one need to solve real world problems to think outside the box. Real world problems are never perfectly packaged for you!

  • It teaches the 'Recycling Crafter's Mindset':
If you don't have a specific material on hand for your craft, applying a "what else can I use" mindset is vital for creativity and problem solving.

  • It encourages community, friends and family involvement.
Get your family, friends, students and community to help you collect! It feels good to be involved and able to contribute.
